They are introduced to the club members: Kouji Yatsukawa, the deputy director of Nichiuri TV; Reiki Hirasaka, the creator of the Blackmagic Girl series; Shouko Utakura, an aspiring gravure idol; Yutaka Kani, the president of Kira's fan club; Kazuo Hoonogi, the doctor; Maho Izumi, a shy club member; and Ryuuichi Mifune, a cosplay cameraman. They tell Kogoro that they are organizing a séance to communicate with Kira Miyahara. During the séance, ghostly signs begin to appear, and Kira's voice is heard cursing her killers. Conan and Kogoro reveal that the special effects are activated by a remote control in Hirasaka's possession.
